Review Updates - Manga

Among reading books, I have a fondness for Manga and Japanese Light Novels. But as are books, they are a hit or miss, and it's hard to find that special read amongst all the clutter. I don't always review Manga because of how the volumes are released. I usually wait until the series is complete, because that's when the story is. Sometimes I do review a mid-way manga, if I am overly excited about it. Below are three manga's that I have recently reviewed. One is still on-going,(World Trigger) but the development of the characters, progress so well, that I had to say something.

I hope you enjoy these Reviews. If you wish to indulge in reading manga or if you wish to try it, please click on the link below.

Unbeknownst to her, she's followed by Bil Nez, Hex, and Grogg. Separated from Rhett, their lives sit on a knife's edge.

A tenuous alliance is formed: the Reaper and his Necros; the Clairvoyants; Floss and her witch hunters; and the humans. But will it be enough to defeat their enemies and restore order to a world in chaos? And will Rhett and Laney ever have the chance for a normal life, a life they both desperately want?

Piano prodigy Kousei Arima dominated the competition and has become famous among child musicians. After his mother, who was also his instructor, died, he had a mental breakdown while performing at a piano recital at the age of eleven. As a result, he is no longer able to hear the sound of his piano even though his hearing is perfectly fine. Two years later, Kousei hasn't touched the piano and views the world in monotone, without any flair or color. He has resigned himself to living out his life with his good friends, Tsubaki and Watari, until, one day, a girl changes everything. Kaori Miyazono, a pretty, free-spirited violinist whose playing style reflects her personality, helps Kousei return to the music world and shows that it should be free and mold breaking unlike the structured and rigid style Kousei was used to.

I know this is a manga, but to me reading is reading, and books are books no matter what forms they come in.

This is a very heart pulling story, it's one of the best I have read ( and still reading) this year. The art work is beautiful, and skilled. This story needs a chance to be heard, because there's more to it then just being another manga, click on the image for more information.

Happy days

All Fall Down Week!

JANUARY 18, 2015 By Ally Carter 9 COMMENTS

Hello, everyone!

Ally here, taking a break from . . . I don’t know. Rocking back and forth, eating my hair, stress-baking, and checking my online sales ranking every five minutes. So, you know, the usual pre-release things!

As you probably all know, ALL FALL DOWN is in stores officially on Tuesday, January 20th (in the US and Canada. International release dates may vary.)

Of course, I’m also super busy on the second draft of book 2 (which will hopefully be in stores in about a year). But the most exciting thing is . . .

-Synopsis
A new series of global proportions -- from master of intrigue, NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Ally Carter.

This exciting new series from NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Ally Carter focuses on Grace, who can best be described as a daredevil, an Army brat, and a rebel. She is also the only granddaughter of perhaps the most powerful ambassador in the world, and Grace has spent every summer of her childhood running across the roofs of Embassy Row.

Now, at age sixteen, she's come back to stay--in order to solve the mystery of her mother's death. In the process, she uncovers an international conspiracy of unsettling proportions, and must choose her friends and watch her foes carefully if she and the world are to be saved.

I've already made mine. I'll be reading Kill Me Softly (Beau Rivage) by Sarah Cross.Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Synopsis
An edgy contemporary fairy-tale retelling perfect for fans of ABC's Once Upon a Time and NBC's Grimm
.
When Mirabelle runs away from her godmothers to Beau Rivage, the city where she was born, she hopes to discover answers about her parents' tragic death. Instead, she finds a group of unusual teenagers, each with a fairy-tale curse. In this strange seaside city, scenarios from fairy tales are played out over and over, and Mira has her own part in the drama: she's a "Somnolent," doomed to prick her finger and fall into an enchanted sleep like Sleeping Beauty. The problem is she's not interested in the charming (but slightly boring) "prince" who is fated to be her romantic counterpart. Mira is much more attracted to suave, handsome Felix, who bears a curse he can't, or won't, explain to her
